Supplied for photographic use only, reduces emulsion fog, can be used as a restrainer. It is commonly used to reduce emulsion fog during processing and also has the abilities to be used as a restrainer.
Used in preparation of mercuric chloride intensifier. It has the property of reducing emulsion fog dissolving iodine. Stabe under ordinary conditions of use and storage. On long exposure to air it becomes yellow due to release of iodine.
